The hanging (B) 3d object is made of package and throw away material, of which material\u00a0 there is plenty, because of our consumption society and as a consequence of which we\u00a0 produce too much wrapping materials and garbage. This object is made of plastic, rope, paper, cardboard and textile.
\nOn left and right: two paintings (A and C)\u00a0 which are estheticly beautiful,\u00a0 the Water and Land seems to flow into each other. However it is not clear where, how and when the Land will conquer the Water or the Water will conquer the Land. This causes a lot of problems because of the fact that in some parts of the world the earth becomes too dry and in other parts, islands and peaces of land are\u00a0 disappearing,\u00a0 because they get swalled by Water. This leads to people loosing their\u00a0 homes, failed harvests and hunger. The paintings are build with a lot of transparant layers and dots, which also symbols all micro plastics in the Water, Seas and Oceans.<\/p>\n

Instalation 2021 – ‘Chewing FUN’ – Part I<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2018Chewing FUN\u2019 – Hanging Mobile – part I of Art Installation. Concept:\u00a0 ‘When Humans become Plastic’… this installation is made of throw away materials, plastic, ropes, iron, cotton, jute, cardboard and beans. In ‘Chewing FUN’ , also are included plastic toys, because they are still on the selling market for children.<\/div>\n
\u2018Chewing FUN\u2019 installation refers to the fact that stuff mostly found in all waters are nets, ropes and throw away plastic packages of food and drinks. In due time, these packages fall apart and change into micro plastic, which finally becomes plastic soup. In the end all this material forms part of the food chain; fishes and other sea animals eat throw away materials and plastic, humans are consuming same animals, so eventually, humans are eating their own \u00b4plastic soup\u2019.<\/div>\n

When this cycle continues, and regarding the phrase \u2018you are what you eat\u2019, humanity could slowely fade away when humans become plastic too.<\/div>\n

How can we create a peaceful society for children? They need to be protected against violence, molesting and rape in daily life and times of war.<\/p>\n

\u00a0How can Children experiment with their sexual behavior without getting hurt? Is their social environment, home, school, playground, really as safe as it is supposed to be? How can we explain our children about danger, without skaring them?<\/p>\n

These issues I am trying to explore in my installation \u201c The Myth of Safety \u201d.<\/p>\n
